How to Find and Organize Your Recordings in Record My
Open the Main Window
Launch Record My. Your recordings live in its library on your Mac, listed under “RECENT RECORDINGS” with a thumbnail, the date and time, and the duration.
Reopen a Recording
Click a row, or right-click it and choose “Open in Editor”. It opens in the Motion Editor, ready to play.
Keep a Copy Anywhere
In the editor, click “Save Video” and pick a folder. You get the original recording as a .mov, right where you want it.
Delete One
Hover over a row and click the trash button, or right-click and choose “Delete…”. Record My asks before anything goes.
Tidy Up in Bulk
Open the “Clean Up” menu and choose “Delete Older Than a Week”, “Keep Only the Latest 5” or “Delete All”.
A Library That Stays Tidy
“Clean Up” clears space in a click. Every delete is confirmed first, and it’s permanent, as the dialog says: “This can’t be undone.” Before a big clean-up, save anything you want to keep with “Save Video”.
- “Delete Older Than a Week”: removes recordings older than seven days and keeps the rest.
- “Keep Only the Latest 5”: keeps your five newest recordings.
- “Delete All”: a fresh start.
Pick Up Where You Left Off
With Record My Ultra, “Save Project” (⌘S) saves your edits as a Record My Project. In Finder, it shows a preview card with its poster and key details. Double-click it, or use “Open Project…” (⌘O), to continue editing. See trimming and editing.
A project points to its recording, so keep that recording in your library.
